Luigi Crisci

As a first-year Post-Doctoral researcher at Scuola Superiore Meridionale, Luigi Crisci's research focuses on the development of innovative computational methods for the accurate determination of molecular structures and spectroscopic constants, with applications spanning astrochemistry and atmospheric science. He specializes in composite schemes based on explicitly correlated coupled-cluster methods, developing software interfaces that achieve spectroscopic accuracy at affordable computational costs. A complementary research line addresses the modeling of gas-phase reaction kinetics, with particular emphasis on barrierless reactions and unimolecular processes relevant to Earth's atmosphere and astrophysical environments. His work also encompasses ab initio molecular dynamics simulations and the characterization of reactive species such as Criegee intermediates and organic radicals. All developed codes and workflows are freely available to the scientific community, reflecting his commitment to open science and reproducible research.
